The Swing Lab Classic: A heartfelt success in support of SickKids

The inaugural Swing Lab Classic held at the picturesque Richmond Hill Golf Club was a resounding success.

On 4th July, we welcomed 88 enthusiastic golfers for a day filled with fun, competition, and a shared commitment to supporting SickKids.

A day to remember

The event kicked off early, with registration beginning at 6:45 am. Participants enjoyed a hearty breakfast and a warm-up session, setting the tone for an exciting day on the greens. The shotgun start at 8am saw golfers teeing off under perfect weather conditions, adding to the overall enjoyment of the event.

Generous support and contributions

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our participants, friends and sponsors, we raised $20,000 for SickKids. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and support of everyone involved.

Our sponsors played a pivotal role in the event's success. Their contributions not only helped us reach our fundraising goals but also provided participants with delightful snacks and gifts throughout the round, enhancing the overall experience.

Lunch and awards ceremony

The day concluded with a delicious lunch and an awards ceremony at 1pm, where golfers gathered to celebrate their achievements and the success of the event. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the impact of our collective efforts and to recognize outstanding performances on the course.

We are thankful to also have the representative from SickKids Fetal Cardiac Department to come join us for the ceremony and share about what they do at the foundation to help other families through the journey of welcoming a new life.

A heartfelt 'thank you'

We extend our deepest gratitude to all of the golfers, sponsors, and supporters who made the first Swing Lab Classic such a memorable and successful event. Your participation and generosity have made a significant difference to the lives of the children at SickKids.

We look forward to building on this success and continuing our support for SickKids in future events. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved.

The co-organizer of the event and friend of Swing Lab, Adam Holt, said: "Thank you for everyone who came out to be a part of this event and mission, it meant a lot to us.

"We intend to keep running this event to make it the Swing Lab Classic an even better experience next year to keep raising fund for the SickKids foundation."
